The Lumen Studios, Crypt Gallery, London, E2, will host the work of over 20 international artists who attended this unique residency at the most southerly point in the UK.
The residency was established by Mayes Creative, in partnership with Lumen Studios, as part of their Lizard Beacons Communications Heritage Project, to bring together like-minded, multi-disciplinary artists in this inspiring part of the SW coast.
The show has just successfully been staged at the Museum of Cornish Life, Helston and the Crypt will provide an atmospheric environment to display works exploring themes around communication, the harshness and allure of the landscape, light and darkness and our presence in the universe.
Through a programme of walks, talks and workshops the artists gained inspiration from the natural darkness, beauty of the Cornish coastline and from staying next to one of its iconic lighthouses.
